Safety Notes
Potassium permanganate has the ability to oxidize many substances, so it is famous as a strong oxidant, a substance that accepts or takes electrons from other substances. Potassium permanganate KMnO4 is a strong oxidizer, so when storing, avoid direct light and high temperatures. Do not use potassium permanganate with some other antiseptics such as formaline, iodine, H2O2, etc. Both of these metals cause dark color in drinking water and are harmful to pets' bodies. Reduce the amount of chemicals in the final disinfection step: As you know, if the final disinfection step uses too much chlorine, it will create harmful compounds. Using potassium permanganate in the first step of water treatment will oxidize organic compounds that tend to be harmful. Avoid using too much potassium permanganate as it may cause the following dangers: Skin irritation: At high levels, long-term exposure to potassium permanganate will cause skin erosion. Even causes skin burns. Always wear gloves, goggles and a mask when approaching. Eye damage: The caustic nature of this compound also causes eye damage. Explosion: This compound alone will not cause fire. But it enhances the flammability of other substances.
Confirm the specifications and safety instructions in the technical documentation for each batch before use.
